Monthly bookkeeping service
Monthly bookkeeping that ends with an answer, not another report to decode.
Fieldline keeps the books for Ottawa trades contractors on a predictable monthly rhythm. The output is clean records for the accountant and a one-page Site Report the owner can actually use.
What is included
Six parts of a Fieldline monthly close.
The service combines document capture, transaction organization, reconciliations, contractor-specific record tracking, a concise owner report and a clean handoff to the client’s accountant. The exact workload is bounded by the selected plan.
Monthly reconciliations
Business bank and credit-card accounts are matched to the books, with unresolved differences surfaced instead of carried forward.
Receipt and document capture
A repeatable flow gets receipts and supplier documents out of texts, inboxes and gloveboxes and into the client-owned file.
Transaction categorization
Income and expenses are categorized consistently, with questions sent back to the owner while the details are still fresh.
Subcontractor payment records
Payments and available supporting documents are organized so the accountant has a clearer year-end record.
The Site Report
One page summarizes the bank balance, tracked set-asides, receivables, recorded bills, monthly result, upcoming dates and owner action items.
Accountant-ready handoff
Fieldline maintains the records; the client’s accountant handles tax advice, returns, filings and representation.
Timeline
Records in by the 5th. Close and Site Report by the 15th.
That timing is the operating target and the basis of Fieldline’s written 15th guarantee. It depends on the client providing complete records and answers on time.
Questions are gathered into a short list instead of arriving as a stream of interruptions. Once resolved, the month is reconciled and locked, and the owner receives the Site Report plus the plan’s scheduled walkthrough.
Boundaries
What monthly bookkeeping does not include.
Fieldline does not file tax returns or HST returns, process payroll, make remittances, pay bills, chase customers, move client money, provide tax advice or represent clients to CRA. Those responsibilities stay with the owner, payroll provider and accountant.
